ROXANE LATRÈCHE
art curator | writer | PR consultant
French-Algerian. Based in Berlin. Specialised in modern and contemporary art.
With over 11 years in the field of cultural communications in Paris, London and Berlin, my experience ranges from in-house in leading contemporary art galleries and institutions to international cultural communications consultancies.
Building on my interdisciplinary academic background, my work — curating, writing, and in communications — draws on diverse cultural histories and philosophies, scholarly fields, and contemporary art practices. My projects span across the arts, ranging from painting and sculpture, photography, videography and digital media, to performance art. Past and current clients include wide-ranging creative initiatives and actors, from artists, galleries and museums to magazines and brands.
Since 2022, I have been developing keskes collective — an ongoing research project taking communal practices around the preparation of couscous as the starting point for a vast reflection on storytelling; oral histories; History; transgenerational exchange; play; intercultural hybridity; critical post-colonial theory; processes of colonisation and decolonisation; memorial and cultural activism. Much of this research finds its roots and is applied to my Algerian heritage, and is materialised through readings; participatory performances; exhibitions; and both critical and fictional writing.
Fluent in English, French, and Italian, and with a strong proficiency in Spanish and German, I hold a B.A. from Princeton University (NJ, US) and M.A. from the Courtauld Institute of Art (London, UK), with a specialisation in contemporary Chinese art.
